Service Title

Disabled Adaptations

Service Description

Three Oaks Homes wants its tenants to be able to live in their homes for as long as they are able.  To assist them, Three Oaks Homes provides an adaptations service which includes physical adaptations to the home that enable easier access, bathing and generally moving around in the home.

Further information about this service is available in the tenants' handbook, but you can also contact your tenancy services officer for more details.

The EMHGroup have a disability service user group who give their views on the services we provide for disabled people and how these can be improved.  The service user groups aims are:

'not to discuss personal disability issues, but to look at how members of the EMHGroup can provide quality services to disabled people by working together'.

Their Mission Statement is:

'The purpose of the Disability Service User Group is to promote equality of opportunity between disabled people and others within the East Midlands Housing Group.

We aim to give a forum for discussion and sharing of personal experiences of disability through encouraging friendly debate.

We aim to support disabled people at their point of need whilst maintaining their confidentiality.

We want to support and influence change to provide a cohesive and efficient service to include everybody.'

If you are a disabled person and you would like to become involved in influencing the services provided to disabled people, we would like to hear from you.  Please contact our Group Policy and Information team on 01530 276000 or by emailing us.
