Service Title

Acceptable Behaviour Contract - ABC

Service Description

An Acceptable Behaviour Contract, also known simply as an ABC, is a written agreement between the police, the local housing office and a young person who has been involved in anti-social behaviour. In an ABC, the young person agrees to stop committing acts of nuisance or anti-social behaviour.

Unlike Anti-Social Behaviour Orders, ABCs are not legally binding but breaching one can be used as evidence in court.

There is more information about how we deal with anti-social behaviour in the You and Your Neighbours section of the tenants' handbook.
