Service Title
Service Charge
Service Description
What is a Service Charge?
Service Charge means an amount which is payable for services, repairs or improvements, maintenance or insurance along with the landlords cost of managing these charges.
Depending upon where you live a service charge may include gardening / grounds maintenance, cleaning to shared areas or lighting of shared areas.
Why is it so important that this is done?
Prior to the transfer from Blaby District Council to Three Oaks Homes it was agreed that in the best interests of all tenants that we would use a variable service charge system. This means that we will provide an itemised estimate of your service charge for the year ahead and then, when we know what the real cost is we can reconcile the cost against the original estimate. What this means is that all tenants will only pay the true cost of the services that they receive.
How could the changes affect me?
Take a look at the Question & Answers booklets that we have prepared to see how the changes may affect you.
